Good morning colleagues,
Among the day's stories is news that Aer Lingus is waiting to hear if its US flights will suffer in air travel cuts sparked by the federal government shut-down. Now in its 38th day, and officially the longest shutdown in US history, air traffic controllers in the US have been working without pay since 1st October. Also in the news today, Aer Lingus recorded an operating profit of €170m between July and September.
