Good morning colleagues,

The Irish Times leads this morning with "Ninety minutes of madness" to describe the situation last night as Gardaí come under sustained attack from mob outside IPAS centre in Saggart.

Following last night's, occasionally absurd, debate on Prime Time, the paper reports that Catherine Connolly remains the front runner, while Fergus Finlay tries to dissuade those unhappy with the limited selection of candidates not to spoil their votes, as the Indo highlights Connolly's record on objecting to public infrastructure projects.

The bookies have Humphries on odds of 11/2 (15.4%), and Connolly at 1/9 (90%), suggesting it would take some industrial strength voodoo to change the course of this election.
