The full Indo story, again prominent on the Indo website this morning, is available here . In the same paper, Mary Regan writes: Public sector pay talks on a knife edge as Government seeks to avoid winter of unrest: " Next 24 hours crucial as unions play their stronger hand without losing public support ."
The Irish Times editorial addresses the pay dispute this morning, and says "it is time to find the middle ground" : As unions up the ante, the risks of a long-running dispute increase . The Irish Times also covers next week's planned rallies across the country to coincide with the strike action on page 2 of its print edition. Elsewhere, RTÉ , the Irish Examiner and The Journal also reports on the planned nationwide rallies, while Una Kelly reports on the effect of industrial action at the Family Court, which includes a statement from Fórsa .
The Cork Independent covers the planned industrial action , as the Limerick Leader reports the Taoiseach as saying the Government is “not responsible” for the public sector union strike action.
Your Zen this morning is a chat about Dublin's built history as Donal Fallon discusses the changing face of Dublin with Oliver Callan. Donal presents the Three Castles Burning podcast, a personal favourite.
Have a great weekend.
