Fórsa's Education division will be in the Oireachtas today (from 12.30) to address the Committee on Education and Youth about SNAs, career progression, professionalization and workforce planning. Andy PIke and SNA branch chairs Carol McSherry (North Dublin), and Catherine Quirke (Munster/NEC), will address the committee alongside representatives from Embrace Autism. That will be broadcast live from Committee Room 4.

Meanwhile, a coalition of bodies representing primary and special schools in Ireland - including Fórsa - have appealed to the Government to address what they say is a growing funding crisis in schools.
