A huge number of homes are without power this morning following Storm Bram's noisy visit, while more than 8,000 individuals and organisations made submissions to the public consultation on the right to request remote working run by the Department of Enterprise and Employment, which closed on Tuesday afternoon.

Also in today's news, children with additional educational needs will no longer need an assessment to access a special class or special school under reforms designed to cut years-long waiting lists for vulnerable children.
