Elsewhere, the Central Bank of Ireland approval for Israeli bonds was not renewed after its expiry yesterday, with responsibility for marketing the bonds in the EU moving to Luxembourg. 

Meanwhile, Taoiseach Micheál Martin has warned European Commission president Ursula von der Leyen that Europe risks losing its industrial base of semiconductor chipmakers if it fails to bring down steep energy costs facing the sector.

The Irish Times reports that RTÉ "remained on course to cut more than 100 jobs this year."
