Yes...and

Following on from yesterday's story, it's reported today that the organiser of the National Holocaust Memorial Day commemoration has defended its decision to invite President Michael D Higgins to give the keynote address, despite opposition from some in the Jewish community. 

 

At the WRC, the ESB has denied operating a blacklist after a former lineman claimed his involvement in a labour dispute nearly two decades ago may have been the reason he was not re-hired by the State utility. 

 

Among the developments envisaged by the new programme for government, designed to streamline the delivery of large-scale projects, is the creation of a dedicated infrastructure division. The new new division is to be known as the Department of Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, or PEIPSRD...another easy-to-remember acronym.
