Three years after the timeline for introducing the European Union’s Pay Transparency Directive was set out, employers say they are still in the dark about what they are required to do and when it should be done by.
Two months before the deadline for its transposition, Sweden has announced it will seek to renegotiate the directive, and BusinessEurope recently sought a two-year delay on implementation.
The Irish Times reports ICTU's Laura Bambrick sharing 'widespread frustration' over lack of legislation, and that she is "also somewhat bemused that employers’ groups are still saying they need more time."
