The Leopard
by Niall Shanahan

In the Irish Examiner, Michelle McGlynn's election coverage focuses again on the 4-Day Week, reporting that the "prospect of a four-day working week becomes  battleground issue" with Fine Gael (colour me shocked) not in favour of the idea.

Elsewhere, Hot Press magazine reports on Saturday's rally for Unity and Hope, while yesterday's Irish Times business news included a report that Aer Lingus will reimburse pay deducted from some pilots sanctioned during last summer’s industrial action, and an independent candidate in Laois focuses on the shortage of SNA placements in the county.

In other election news, the Irish Times reports that the public expenditure minister had a "private undisclosed" dinner with Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary. It's not on the lobbying register so presumably they discussed football, music and...erm...livestock. I'm speculating, but you can take it as read (because they insist) that they didn't discuss policy...or about how many teachers (or landlords) there are in the Dáil.

I spotted this trailer for an upcoming adaptation of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa's novel The Leopard, and it looks sumptuous.

Have a great day.
