The Irish Times reports that Aer Lingus cabin and ground crew will seek a 4% pay hike in coming weeks following the pilots' settlement after last summer's dispute, while RTÉ looks at the various challenges facing the new clutch of Government ministers, including the disputes in health.

Barristers will meet today to discuss further industrial action, while the Irish Examiner reports that Munster Technological University (MTU) generated almost €1bn for the Irish economy in the year after it was first formally established, while the Irish Times editorial looks at the potential threats to Ireland in its role as European home for many giant US companies and how the country will "be at the centre of tensions on trade, tax and regulation."

A small number of vociferous protesters voiced their objection yesterday to President Higgins' speech at the Holocaust Memorial event at Dublin's Mansion House, while survivors will be joined by world leaders in Poland today (including An Taoiseach) to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz

Zen

I spent a very pleasant couple of hours at the National Gallery yesterday, taking in the January treat of the Turner collection. This year the Irish collection of the Henry Vaughan Bequest swaps places with the Scottish collection in Edinburgh, so a rare opportunity to see a whole other set of these amazing works, including the featured painting above. Worth a look if you get a chance before February.

Have a great week.
