On remoteness

Good morning colleagues,
A quick round up of news items between the weekend and the national holiday. The Irish Times leads its coverage of the debate on remote work from last week's IRN conference with Éamonn Donnelly's description of remote work legislation as a 'lame duck', and is included in the paper's round up of the day's business stories.
The Indo ran this story about stepping up remote work arrangements in response to the spike in fuel prices, and leads with Fórsa's view on the subject, with the Business Post picking up its lead from the Indo.
Elsewhere, the soaring oil price is working out well for some.
Also, from last week's IRN conference, Ibec said the Government’s action plan on collective bargaining will have no impact on the right of employers to refuse on-site access to trade union representatives. Siptu's John King responded with concern "to hear the constitutional rights of employers being raised in the context of the action plan."
Your Zen this morning sees Killarney woman Jessie Buckley complete her unbroken, and richly deserved, round on the awards circuit.
