RTÉ reports that members of the Prison Officers' Association have voted to accept the public sector pay deal.

Elsewhere, Tipperary Live reports that the decision by the HSE, to take over the new community nursing home in Nenagh to deal with overcrowding in UHL, needs a rethink by the health body.

The Business Post reports that new EU fiscal rules - which are currently working their way through the European Parliament - will require governments to outline their net expenditure projections five years in advance. The finance minister is set to brief Cabinet on the proposals.

Ibec has warned that Ireland’s hospitality and entertainment sectors require oversight from the Government, in addition to a long-term strategy to help businesses grapple with rising costs and skills shortages, including the introduction of a PRSI rebate targeted at specific companies. This is in addition to calls by the employer body earlier this year for the Government to pause progress toward a Living Wage.

Finally, the GRA and AGSI have voted overwhelmingly to accept a new roster proposal which is set to bring an end to the current dispute.
