Fórsa members working in health services provided by the community and voluntary sector received this update from Fórsa yesterday. The Health & Welfare division executive met this morning to make an assessment of the deal, which was finalised on Monday night at the WRC.

 

Well done to Ashley and all the Health & Welfare crew as preparations for a ballot on the new deal for community and voluntary members gets underway.The Government has said the new deal will cost €140 million annually

 

On Pay and Numbers, the Psychiatric Nurses Association (PNA) issued notice of industrial action to the HSE yesterday.

 

Elsewhere, Galway City Council has announced they will meet with Fórsa after members staged a protest on Monday, which was widely covered by media in the region. Well done to Padraig and all the Galway City Council crew, who still have a fight on their hands over the planned relocation of the City Council chamber and offices.

 

In return-to-office mandate news, the WRC heard yesterday that a remote worker was given the “impossible” task of relocating from Monaghan to Cork, and was made redundant within six months.
