In the Irish Times today, Emmet Malone continues his series of articles on remote and hybrid working and work-life balance, examining shifts in the culture of work as tech firms, in particular, lead the charge back to office-based work, and how some workers have responded.

 

Elsewhere, and just before the break, Fórsa members at St Christopher's in Longford settled their dispute with the employer, while Gay Community News (GCN) acknowledged the establishment of Fórsa's first-ever LGBTQ+ network as one of 2024's milestones.

 

Startling news last week as it emerged that hacking attacks on airlines’ global positioning systems (GPS) increased worldwide by 400% in the first 10 months of last year. That's according to research by the aviation advisory body OpsGroup, representing 450 airlines and industry specialists. 

 

Finally, I was rooting for Andrew Scott and his performance in Ripley but the Golden Globe went to the boy from Castleknock.
