The Irish Times speculates on the runners and riders for Cabinet positions in the new administration, and looks at AI in the clasroom.

 

The paper's Cantillon column speculates on the likelihood of the new Government selling the State's remaining stake in AIB "even if it crystallises a loss on the bailout."

 

While the UK's economic news has gone from bad to worse in recent months, the BBC reports that pay, after inflation, has risen at its fastest rate for more than three years, driven by strong wage growth in the private sector.

Last night I had the good fortune to be invited along by a friend to see Lyle Lovett at the National Concert Hall. Lyle is all Texas charm and wit with an amazing band of musicians. Everybody went home happy.
