RTÉ picked up that Daily Mail story yesterday, providing a bit more coherence on what's actually happening and includes Fórsa's perspective on developments at Tailte Éireann.

The Irish Times and other news outlets report on SIPTU's ballot result yesterday, with most of the coverage also anticipating the Fórsa result due today. RTÉ's work correspondent Brian O'Donovan has featured in bulletins last night and this morning, trailing the result and setting the scene for a dispute between public service unions and Government. Fórsa's ballot looks set to be the largest single public service industrial action ballot in Irish industrial relations history, as other unions prepare to ballot members this month.

Emmet Malone reports in the Irish Times that the number of young people in work remains "well below pre-economic crash levels" and a growing number are in jobs that do not pay well enough to allow them to live independently as adults, according to a new report by Tasc for the National Youth Council of Ireland. 

Finally, Pilita CLark writes that women make friends differently from men at work: "They build tighter, more genuine connections that may not always be to their advantage."
