More help needed to solve the mystery of the vanishing jobs

Dear members,

We have had a fantastic response to our survey. Nearly 1,800 of you have shared stories of how you are being affected by unfilled positions in the HSE. But we need to hear from as many of you as possible.

If you haven’t filled it out yet, please do it now. And if you have, then share it with at least one colleague today.

Why is this survey so important? Because although the HSE are lifting of the recruitment embargo, they will likely not be filling any position that was vacant on the 31st December 2023. Even positions which were previously funded and approved.

And who do they expect will be doing the work of these vacant posts?

Don’t let them sweep this under the rug. The more of you who complete the survey, the more information we will have on how the HSE’s unilateral decision to get rid of funded posts is impacting you, your colleagues, and the services you deliver.

The HSE has refused to consult with Fórsa or any trade union on these vacancies. They have also refused to share data with Fórsa as to how many funded and approved vacancies have been lost.

The more information we have, the more we’ll be able to tell the HSE exactly what’s happening and push back. Fill out the survey now!

To encourage more members to take part in the survey you can print this poster and display it in your workplace

The survey is anonymous and should take less than 5 minutes to complete. It’s open now and will close on Monday 2nd September 2024.

Thank you,

Ashley Connolly
