Cabinet will meet this morning to consider a proposal to develop a system that would permit only those who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 to eat and drink inside bars and restaurants. Meanwhile, NIAC are recommending to Government that the AstraZeneca and Janssen vaccines can be administered to 18 to 40-year-olds.
Minister for Public Expenditure Michael McGrath has weighed in on the four day week campaign saying that a move would add at least €4.2 billion on to the public sector pay bill.
The Taoiseach has said he wants to see “fewer delays through legal challenges” as part of a new drive by Government to deal with the housing crisis. Read more on that here.

It's difficult to avoid football at the moment, with the day centered around the Euros and "important matches". As the tournament progresses I have found myself sucked in to the excitement of it all, and most recently was described as Mrs Doyle in the "Incredible over 75’s five-a-side football match" Fr Ted episode.
