A UK immigration tribunal has ruled that anyone born in the North of Ireland is considered British until they renounce their citizenship. Emma DeSouza argued that this is contrary to the Good Friday Agreement whereby it states a person from the North can identify as Irish, British or both - however, the ruling was in favour of the UK Home Office. Ms DeSouza and her husband will appeal the judgement, fearing it could have huge implications for so many post-Brexit.
