There is more industrial unrest afoot in the HSE as the Medical Laboratory Scientists Association has notified them that it will service notice of industrial action next week if details of how a wage deal will be rolled out are not finalised.

 

The Minister for Social Protection will bring proposals to Cabinet today for a new benefit system which will see tiered payments kick in when people lose their jobs, but this does not go far enough according to Siptu.

 

The Mirror reports on a dispute in Leinster House after management told Oireachtas Ushers that they must now help out in policing the outside barricades on days of protests. Read more on that here. 

 

Redundancy packages offered by RTÉ need to be consistent with pay-offs made elsewhere in the public service, according to the Minister for Public Expenditure.
