Midnight Cut

On Wednesday the Government annonuced a cut on fuel prices. This came into effect at midnight but fuel prices across the country have not changed with some garages saying that crude oil went up 15 cent since yesterday. The Business Post wrote an interesting article here, exploring what would happen if Russia cut off its oil to the whole of Europe.

 

The Just Transition Allicance will be launched this lunch time at 12:30pm. Kevin Callinan will be speaking at the webinar which seeks to ensure the practice and principles of a Just Transition are at the heart of the national policy response to climate change.

 

Taoiseach Micheal Martin condemned Putin's bomb attack on a maternity hospital which left mothers and children buried under rubble. Zelenskyy has once again called for a no-fly zone to be implemented.

 

Councillors have proposed to change the name of Orwell road where the Russian embassy is located to Independent Ukraine Road in solidarity with the Ukranian people. Residents are set to be consulted on the proposal before any decision is made.

Runmours this morning indicate that PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino will be punished for failing to beat Real Madrid in the last 16 of yesterday's Champions League game. This could lead the way for him to take-over as Manchest United manager in the Summer. 

 

As an Arsenal fan I would like to remind all the United and Spurs fans that Pochettino has 'bottled it' once again with a team full of superstars. Having never won a title with Totenham is he really the answer for the glorious Manchester United? Lets take a look at when he was last in the champions league final:
