With talks on a new public service pay deal expected to commence in the coming weeks, Daniel McConnell in the Irish Examiner is out of the blocks early speculating about what a deal might look like, with a headline designed to get front page coverage, and a bit of pearl-clutching for good measure.

 

Elsewhere, tension at the Dublin Airport Authority, the acting Chief Medical Officer says cases of Covid-19 in children will happen in the coming weeks, and further possible tensions as the HSE plans to report to Government any private hospitals unwilling to help in a possible second surge of coronavirus.

 

There's good news for late summer bathers on Dublin's northside as Fingal County Council lifts its swimming ban on four beaches.
