There's an outpouring of grief and respect for Marvel comics' founder Stan Lee, who died yesterday. Also, the Irish Times reports that Brexit (more later) may raise legal doubts over the British-Irish travel area. I'll get me coat, so.

 

Meanwhile DPER has put a €300 million annual price tag on nurses' pay demands, and the Irish Examiner reports that just 11 local councils are in a position to collect the vacant sites levy.

 

But there's good news for those of you who hate online news pay walls. The Guardian's alternative business model looks set to bring it back into the black early next year as over a million people (yours truly included) have opted into voluntary financial support for the service. Yesterday the paper had this on workplace mental health, and also reported that Brexit could scupper Aer Lingus's parent company's European corporate status.
