Stormy Weather
by Niall Shanahan

Good morning colleagues,

As the counting of votes resumed this morning, and speculation about how a new government might be formed, Martin Wall sets out the array of industrial relations challenges facing the next administration in the Irish Times, including a new public service pay deal, CE supervisors, Section 39 workers and school secretaries.

Fórsa and SIPTU's CE supervisors are engaging in a 24-hour work stoppage on Friday (14th February). They'll join up with Section 39 staff to take part in a rally behind a message for the next government: “Unfinished business: Don’t ignore community services.” General Secretary Kevin Callinan will address the lunchtime rally at the offices of the Department of Finance on Merrion Street. Your support for the CE supervisors and Section 39 workers is very much appreciated.
