Event to discuss response to refugee crisis


Colleagues,

 

The Congress Global Solidarity Committee would like to invite you to a seminar on develop ideas on how we can best respond to the current refugee crisis. The objective of the special seminar is to put an arrangement in place that will provide practical assistance to the Syrian people, and to avoid at all costs the issues currently experienced by refugees coming into Ireland.

 

The meeting will be held in IMPACT, Nerney’s Court, Dublin 1 this Saturday (17th October) from 11am to 3pm and a light lunch (Syrian and Lebanese food) will be served.

 

Speakers will include:

  • Caoimhe Butterly – well know social justice activist
  • Mr Ghandi Mallak, Representative from Syrian Community in Ireland
  • Mr. Stephen Ng'ang'a – Direct Provision activist
  • Refugee Council
  • European Network against Racism
