If you’re one of the 3,200 Fórsa members working in Tusla, we want to hear from you.
The child and family agency was established in 2013. Now, for the first time since then, the agency has published organisational reform plans. The reform is focused on moving to a Local Integrated Service Delivery model (LISD) and will encompass a transition to a new structure, re-structuring and changes to reporting relationships. This will have potentially far-reaching consequences for members.
Documents on Tusla’s organisational reform were published in February and distributed to members on 26th February in a special bulletin.
You can view them here and here.
This process will shape the next phase of Tusla’s development. The union has been working with members to ensure their perspective is a central part of the process. Now, we have created a survey to collect and collate members’ feedback on the documents.
You can take part in the survey here.
Fórsa official Tony Martin said: “We really need comprehensive feedback on the Tusla reform project and hope you can all participate in the survey. The results will help us to best represent you with your employer during this time.”
“We want to know if you think the reform process will change your role, lead to a reassignment or relocation, or any other impact you think it might have. By collecting this information, we will have a more complete picture of members’ views.”
Tony concluded: “This is a work-in-progress. The more members share how the provisions in these documents will affect them and their work, the better Fórsa will be able to ensure this process of organisational reform benefits all stakeholders, not least the sizable number of Fórsa members working for Tusla,” he said.
