Fórsa members in local authorities are to ballot for industrial action in pursuit of an independent job evaluation scheme.

The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) has written to the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, expressing disappointment that the final master agreement on the transfer of water services from local authorities to Uisce Éireann fails to take account of feedback provided by trade unions.

Fórsa’s North-East Health and Welfare and Local Government branches came together last week to hold the first branch led training and organising event since the pandemic.
