The Joint Oireachtas Committee on Transport and Communications Networks was warned last week that airlines operating in Ireland have the flexibility to move aircraft to more open markets to meet demand, and that Ireland risks being left behind, putting thousands of jobs at risk, if the Government fails to provide leadership, clarity and certainty for the aviation sector.

Unions have been responding to the Government’s National Resilience and Recovery Plan, which was unveiled on Tuesday (1st June).
