Fórsa is seeking clarification on a number of items for An Post members before they begin their move from the GPO headquarters to the EXO building in Dublin.

Fórsa official Derek Kelleher said that the union is still endeavouring to address outstanding queries, while trying to pinpoint the arrangements that will be in place for all members moving forward in the transition.

An Post has said that the GPO is not fit for purpose, and are vacating the historical landmark in favour of a new modern premises.

A union sub-group was established early on in the process, to facilitate consultation between the company and representatives from all three unions representing members in the company (Fórsa, AHCPS, CWU).

Queries that have been sent in by union members and management are being responded to on an individual basis.

Derek stressed that unions are fighting for full transparency for members

“The process has been slow with unions pushing for full transparency and clarity for members. Members with relevant queries should have received a response from management at this stage,” he said.
