Ryanair cabin crew from across the airline’s network are coming to Fórsa’s Dublin office for a summit to demand fair treatment from the company.

The event was organised by Cabin Crew United, an alliance of trade unions who, like Fórsa, are affiliated to the International Transport Workers’ Union (ITF) and the European Transport Workers’ Federation (ETF). The organisations are dedicated to winning a better deal for Ryanair cabin crew workers.

The Dublin meeting, which takes place on 3rd and 4th July, will be the first time that Ryanair cabin crew come together to demand change at the airline.

Last December, Ryanair announced that it would recognise Fórsa and other trade unions across Europe. However, almost six months on there has been little progress from the airline.

Working conditions at the company have been heavily criticised over the last few years, with the range of issues highlighted including low pay, draconian disciplinary procedures and unachievable sales targets.

Prior to the summit, unions representing aviation workers are meeting in Brussels to discuss how they can best support Ryanair workers in winning fair treatment from the company. That meeting is being convened by the ITF and the ETF, who are also supporting the July summit.
