Last week an agreement was reached in regard to overtime divisors in the civil service. This is an issue that has been unresolved since the restoration of pre-Haddington Road hours in 2022.

Following the recent publication of Fórsa’s position paper on the local bargaining terms of the Public Service Agreement 2024 - 2026 (PSA), the union’s Civil Service division has identified its ‘bargaining units’ for negotiations over the next 12 months.

In addition to members working as clerical and administrative staff and service officers, Fórsa’s civil service division is home to many highly qualified professional and technical members.

The executive of IALPA, the professional body for Irish airline pilots, and a branch of Fórsa trade union, has recommended acceptance of the Labour Court recommendation (23007), concerning the current dispute between IALPA and Aer Lingus.
